We commissioned third-party engineer testing to assess the performance of Octave Vista and Logan & Cove Choice. The results of this testing showed that you should get a great night’s sleep with either mattress. It just depends on whether you prefer sleeping on a memory foam or hybrid mattress.

Firmness

In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), both Octave Vista and Logan & Cove Choice received scores that are consistent with a medium-firm feel. Both mattresses are ideal for a wide variety of sleep styles, including side, back, and stomach sleepers.

That said, you’ll still notice a difference in feel. Logan & Cove scored 5.8/10, which is on the softer end of medium-firm. Octave, on the other hand, earned a higher 6.8/10—almost a firm feel.

If you like a slightly firmer feel with less sinking and consistent support, you might prefer Octave. If you prefer a touch of softness, a little more sink, and the responsive support of metal coils, Logan & Cove could be right for you.

 

Edge Support

Octave and Logan & Cove earned similarly excellent scores for edge support. Octave scored 7.5/10, while Logan & Cove scored 7.0/10. Either mattress will provide the support you need to comfortably sit on the edge of the bed.

These mattresses are also a great choice if you sleep near the edge of the mattress, or if you need a little extra support to get out of bed.

 

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation helps you enjoy a good night’s sleep without being disturbed by a restless partner, kids, or pets. Octave is the winner in this category, with an excellent motion isolation score of 7.3/10. However, Logan & Cove also has above-average motion isolation at 7.3/10.

With either mattress, you won’t be easily awoken by movement on the other side of the bed.

 

Bounce

Memory foam mattresses tend to have lower bounce scores than hybrid mattresses. Octave earned a below-average bounce rating of 3.7/10. However, despite the low amount of bounce, you shouldn’t feel “stuck” in the Octave mattress. The transition layer of Elastex® foam gives the mattress a certain level of responsiveness, helping you shift positions more easily.

In comparison, Logan & Cove has a much higher—but still average—bounce score of 5.2/10. This is thanks to the layer of individually wrapped pocket coils, which make the mattress more springy. Like Octave, Logan & Cove also has a transition layer of responsive Elastex® foam for even more responsiveness.

Both Octave Vista and Logan & Cove Choice provide advanced cooling and zoned support using 3 premium layers. However, Octave is engineered with memory foam, while Logan & Cove is crafted with premium foam and individually wrapped pocket coils. Each mattress is designed to provide different benefits.

 

Octave Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: Octave Vista’s top (comfort) layer is 2″ of copper-infused memory foam treated with PolarMAX® phase-change material for temperature balancing. This layer is designed to pull heat and sweat away from your body for a cooler sleep. Copper is a natural conductor and antimicrobial metal, which is intended to maintain the cleanliness of the mattress.
• Layer 2: The responsive, body-contouring transition layer is 2″ premium Elastex® foam that has the same springy feel as natural latex. Its additional bounce makes it easier for you to shift positions in the bed for a more comfortable sleep.
• Layer 3: Octave’s support layer is 8″ of high-density, multi-zone support foam. This ultra-durable layer has five pressure-relief zones to support every area of your body. It also has breathable air channels to let warm air escape and allow cooler air to enter the mattress.

 

Logan & Cove Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: 1″ of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam provides gentle cushioning and wicks moisture away from your body to help keep temperatures comfortable. Foam density: 2.5 lb/ft³.
• Layer 2: Featuring Elastex® foam, this 1.5″ layer molds to your body, providing a latex-like responsiveness and pressure relief, but without any of the allergy-causing chemicals found in many natural latex mattresses. Foam density: 1.8 lb/ft³.
• Layer 3: The support layer consists of 9″ individually wrapped steel pocketed coils, arranged in a 5-zone system: thinner coils for shoulders and knees, thicker coils for hips, and reinforced coils around the mattress edge. This provides cushioning, spinal alignment, and targeted support.

Octave Vista‘s top cover features CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres. This gives the sleep surface a refreshingly cool feel while it wicks away moisture from your body throughout the night. The mattress cover is removable and machine washable for easy cleaning.

Logan & Cove Choice feels supple and cool to the touch, thanks to its plush quilted top cover infused with CryoFusion™cooling nanofibres. While the mattress cover isn’t machine washable, it’s adorned with intricate details that include diamond tufting and accent stitching.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

Octave and Logan & Cove both ship for free by ground using FedEx. Your mattress is delivered directly to your door throughout most parts of Canada. Additional fees may apply for some remote locations.

Both mattresses ship from Ontario or Alberta with a shipping time of 3–10 business days. They’re shipped in cardboard boxes and protected by two layers of heavy-duty plastic. Once unrolled, Octave and Logan & Cove fully expand within a few minutes and are sleep-ready on delivery day.

Octave and Logan & Cove both come with an industry-competitive 365-night sleep trial—one of the longest in Canada. You also get an impressive 15-year warranty with either mattress.
