Endy and Octave are both well-known mattress brands, but Octave mattresses offer the best value for a similar price. Octave Vista is designed with advanced cooling features like temperature-regulating fabrics, copper-infused memory foam to dissipate heat, and phase-change material for temperature balance. Firmness

Comparing the Octave mattress vs Endy, The Endy has extra softness from the top layer and a significant amount of “hug.” This means that despite Endy being a medium firm mattress with a score of 5.7/10, you will sink partway into the mattress when you lie down and could find it harder to change positions. The amount of sinkage in The Endy could also cause you to sleep warmer—not ideal with The Endy’s lack of cooling features.

Octave Vista, however, was designed with a medium-firm feel and less of a sinking feeling compared to The Endy. It scored a 6.8/10 when tested for firmness by third-party engineers (commissioned by us). Octave’s layers of premium memory foams and multi-zone support offer the perfect mix of cooling, cushioning, support, and pressure-point relief.

Edge Support

Memory foam mattresses aren’t typically known for having high edge support. However, Octave Vista provides above-average edge support with a score of 7.5/10, according to third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us). The Endy scored lower at 7.3/10.

You can comfortably sit on the edge of either mattress and should have no trouble getting out of bed.

Motion Isolation

Good motion isolation helps you enjoy a restful night’s sleep without being disturbed by your partner, kids, or pets. Comparing Endy vs Octave, both mattresses have excellent motion isolation scores. Octave scored 7.3/10 in engineer testing, while The Endy scored 7.4/10.

Bounce

Bounce is a matter of preference, and foam mattresses tend to have lower bounce scores. Octave has a below-average bounce rating at 3.7/10—good news if you’re a light sleeper who’s easily woken. Octave Vista also has less “sink” than The Endy, along with a layer of springy Elastex® that helps you shift positions more easily.

Endy, on the other hand, has a bounce rating of 5.5/10. This is average for a foam mattress. Depending on your sleep needs, you may find that this higher level of bounce cancels out some of The Endy’s motion-isolating properties.

Comparing Endy mattress vs Octave mattress construction, both Octave Vista and Endy are Canadian-made foam mattresses with 3 layers for comfort, transition, and support.

The Endy is 10″ tall, latex-free, and hypoallergenic. It doesn’t have any cooling features. In comparison, Octave Vista is 12″ tall and is designed with a cooling nanofibre cover, copper-infused memory foam, and phase-change material for temperature control.

Octave Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: Octave Vista’s top (comfort) layer is 2″ of copper-infused memory foam treated with PolarMAX® phase-change material for temperature balancing. This layer is designed to pull heat and sweat away from your body for a cooler sleep. Copper is a natural conductor and antimicrobial metal, which is intended to maintain the cleanliness of the mattress.
• Layer 2: The responsive, body-contouring transition layer is 2″ premium Elastex® foam that has the same springy feel as natural latex. Its additional bounce makes it easier for you to shift positions in the bed for a more comfortable sleep.
• Layer 3: Octave’s support layer is 8″ of high-density, multi-zone support foam. This ultra-durable layer has five pressure-relief zones to support every area of your body. It also has breathable air channels to let warm air escape and allow cooler air to enter the mattress.

Endy Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The 2″ comfort layer is made of Endy Comfort Foam, which provides some “hug” with a fair bit of sink. Endy also claims that the foam’s open-cell design improves airflow and keeps you cool while you sleep.
• Layer 2: The 3″ transition layer of foam helps provide pressure relief for a more comfortable, tension-free sleep.
• Layer 3: The 5″ support layer is designed to reduce motion transfer. This is important if you’re a light sleeper and your partner tosses and turns in their sleep.

When MattressReviews.ca contacted Endy, the company declined to share any composition or density details about Endy Comfort Foam, other than saying it’s 100% polyurethane.

Both mattresses offer a machine-washable top cover with a zipper for easy removal. However, only Octave Vista has a top cover with CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres. This gives the sleep surface a refreshingly cool feel while it wicks away moisture from your body throughout the night.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

In comparing the Octave mattress vs Endy, both mattresses ship by ground for free using FedEx. Additional fees may apply for some remote locations. Octave Vista and The Endy both ship from Ontario or Alberta. Octave ships in 3–10 business days, while Endy ships in 1–7 business days.

Your mattress is delivered directly to your door throughout most parts of Canada. Both Octave Vista and The Endy are shipped in cardboard boxes and protected by two layers of heavy-duty plastic. Once unrolled, both mattresses fully expand within a few minutes and are sleep-ready on delivery day.

Octave’s 365-night sleep trial is considerably longer than Endy’s 100-night trial. However, both Endy and Octave have a 15-year warranty. Both companies will pick up returns for free within the sleep trial period and issue a full refund. Your old mattress will then be donated to a local charity or taken to a recycling facility, depending on what’s available.
