Nectar Premier Mattress Construction
The Nectar Premier is a memory foam mattress made with layers of foam. It is available in one firmness option and is manufactured in multiple countries, including China and the United States. All foam used is CertiPUR-US® certified.
Nectar Premier’s cover is made of polyester, nylon, and polyethylene. It uses heat-absorbent polyethylene fibres to wick heat away from your body while you sleep. According to Nectar, the bottom cover is designed to help keep the mattress interior in place and stop the internals from moving around. Although the cover has a zipper, it isn’t removable or machine washable, so be sure to spot-clean any spills or stains.

MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable.
Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. Foam and hybrid mattress test results are scored on separate scales to ensure fair contextual performance representation as much as possible. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

/10
Firmness
In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Nectar Premier earned a firmness score of /10. This places it just on the softer side of medium-level firmness. While this may appeal to side sleepers and some back sleepers, some sleepers (such as stomach sleepers and heavier-weight individuals) could find this firmness too soft to maintain an ideal spinal alignment.
(Get a more supportive sleep with Octave Vista‘s 6.8/10 firmness score and 5-zoned support.)

/10
Edge Support
The Nectar Premier received a score of /10 for edge support. This is above-average for a memory foam mattress and can give you more room to spread out, especially if you sit on or sleep close to the edge.
(Looking for even better support at the edge of your bed? Octave Vista earned an edge support score of 7.5/10.)
/10
Motion Isolation
With a score of /10, Nectar Premier performs well in motion isolation. This means movements from a partner or pet are less likely to disturb your sleep.
(Want a similar level of motion isolation for a lower price? Octave Vista has a 7.3/10 motion isolation score for just $999 for a queen size.)
/10
Bounce
Foam mattresses tend to offer low levels of bounce, which means they conform more closely to the body and return to their original shape more slowly. Nectar Premier scored /10 for bounce, meaning it has low responsiveness. This can reduce motion transfer but may make it harder to shift positions during the night.
(Need a little extra help getting up in the morning? Octave Vista is a slightly more responsive foam mattress, with a bounce score of 3.7/10.)

Cooling Features
While the Nectar Premier isn’t marketed as a cooling mattress, it does include a few features that may help reduce heat buildup. These include:
- Polyethylene-blend cover designed to absorb heat
- Cooling gel-infused memory foam in the comfort layer for temperature regulation
- ActiveCool HD phase-change material that responds to temperature changes to reduce heat retention
However, if cooling is important to you, consider Octave Vista. Octave includes a cooling cover, phase change material, and cooling gel foam to regulate sleep temperature, and it also includes a copper-infused top layer and open-cell foam for extra temperature control. At $999 for a queen, Octave Vista offers these added cooling features at a lower price than the Nectar Premier.

Company Background
Nectar Sleep launched in the U.S. in 2017 under the name DreamCloud Holdings. The company rebranded as Resident Home in 2019 and now operates multiple mattress and furniture brands in North America.
Nectar and its parent company have been subject to multiple enforcement actions by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC). These include a 2018 settlement for misleading “Made in USA” claims, as well as a 2021 order to pay $753,000 related to advertising practices. In 2023, the FTC issued a final ruling that restricts Resident Home and its affiliated brands from making certain types of unqualified U.S.-origin claims. The ruling followed repeated violations of the FTC’s “Made in USA” guidelines, and refunds were issued to affected consumers.
