Firmness

According to third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), the Hush Graph-Iced Mattress earned a firmness score of 6.1/10, and Logan & Cove Frontier scored 6.3/10. Both of these mattresses fall into the medium-firm category, which is ideal for all sleep styles, whether you sleep on your side, back, or stomach.

However, if you want a slightly firmer mattress with a plush Euro-top, we think you’ll prefer Logan & Cove Frontier.

Edge Support

Because of their construction, hybrid mattresses are typically known for having better edge support than foam mattresses. Hush Graph-Iced scored 6.3/10, which is above-average.

Logan & Cove Frontier scored a higher edge support score of 7.3/10. While you should have plenty of support on both mattresses, you can enjoy even more support while sitting on the edge of a Logan & Cove.

Motion Isolation

Motion isolation is important for enjoying a good night’s sleep without being disturbed by a restless partner, kids, or pets. The Hush Graph-Iced Mattress scored an excellent 8.0/10 for motion isolation. Logan & Cove Frontier scored lower, but still received a very good motion isolation score of 7.0/10. Both scores are above average, meaning you can move around and change sleeping positions without disturbing your partner.

Bounce

Thanks to their coil layers, innerspring and hybrid mattresses are known for having more bounce and responsiveness than foam mattresses. The Hush Graph-Iced Mattress scored a 4.1/10 for bounce, which is below average for a hybrid mattress. Bounce in a mattress is a preference, but if you want a hybrid mattress with a more responsive sleep surface, you might prefer Logan & Cove Frontier with its bounce rating of 4.8/10.

Cooling Features

Hush Graph-Iced and Logan & Cove Frontier are both constructed with advanced cooling features, however, Logan & Cove has more for a lower price.

Hush Graph-Iced earned a cooling features score of 3.5/10 from its graphite-infused foam layers, its ventilated transition layer, its IcedShift cooling band, and its pocketed coil layer that promotes greater airflow.

Logan & Cove Frontier features more cooling technologies, such as a cooling top cover with gel-infused foam, CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, a layer of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam, Elastex® foam (a breathable open-cell foam similar to latex), and micro and pocketed coils. All these features give Frontier a higher cooling features score of 4.7/10.

Mattress Construction

Logan & Cove Frontier and the Hush Graph-Iced Mattress are Canadian-made hybrid mattresses designed with cooling features and pocket coil layers. However, they are constructed very differently.

Logan & Cove Frontier Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The first layer is 1″ of breathable hollow fibre fill and cooling gel-infused foam. It’s quilted directly under the Euro-top cover, providing a degree of plushness and directly dissipating your body heat when you’re lying down.
• Layer 2: The second is 1″ of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam that provides gentle cushioning and targeted relief for your shoulders, hips, and knees. It also helps control excess body heat for a cooler, more comfortable sleep.
• Layer 3: This layer features 1″ of aeroduct micro-coils to help keep temperatures down and provide extra body-contouring support. The coils are arranged to help air circulate across the entire mattress.
• Layer 4: This 1.5″ layer of Elastex® foam contours around your body, providing comfort for any sleeping position.
• Layer 5: The support layer contains 9″ of individually wrapped steel pocketed coils. The coils are strategically placed in a three-zone system across the mattress, giving you excellent contoured support.

The ⅞” quilted Euro-top cover includes CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibers, a breathable hollow fibre fill, and gel-infused foam to keep you cool while you sleep. This soft, plush cover boasts an elegant diamond and wave pattern and is crafted from a blend of polyester, polyethylene, and spandex.

While the mattress cover can’t be removed, it can be spot-cleaned. The mattress also comes with a free bedding bundle that includes a machine-washable mattress protector.

Hush Graph-Iced Mattress Layers

• Layer 1: The top layer is 1″ of graphite-infused memory foam. This layer conforms the most to your body as you lie down. The graphite contributes to the mattress’s cooling and is also antimicrobial.
• Layer 2: The second layer is 1″ of graphite-infused memory foam. Like the first layer, the graphite in this layer adds to the mattress’s cooling and antimicrobial properties.
• Layer 3: The third layer is 2″ of ventilated foam. Air channels carved into the bottom of this layer make it breathable, and Hush explains the IcedShift Cooling Band on top wicks heat away from your body, although it’s not clear what this band is or how it provides cooling benefits.
• Layer 4: The fourth layer is 6″ of individually pocketed metal coils. This layer is encased with foam along the sidewalls to increase edge support.
• Layer 5: The bottom layer of the mattress is 2″ of higher-density support foam. This layer acts as a base for the coil layer above and insulates the mattress from the bed frame.

Despite instructions on Hush Graph-Iced’s law label on how to machine-wash the top cover, the product page on Hush’s website says not to remove the cover for cleaning, and to spot-clean only. The cover is made from a polyester and polypropylene blend. Unlike most cooling mattresses we’ve reviewed, Hush’s top cover doesn’t contain any cooling features.

Hush and Logan & Cove both ship their boxed mattresses by ground using FedEx. Including time taken to dispatch your order, Logan & Cove Frontier will be delivered directly to your doorstep in 2–11 business days, while Hush Graph-Iced will arrive in 6–9 business days. However, additional fees may apply to both mattresses for delivery to some remote locations.

Hush is rated “F” (unaccredited) on the Better Business Bureau and “Bad” on Trustpilot. Logan & Cove, on the other hand, is rated “Excellent” on Trustpilot and its parent company, GoodMorning.com, is rated “A+” on BBB with a 4.89/5 star customer review rating.

Logan & Cove offers a 365-night sleep trial, compared to Hush’s 100-night trial. If you decide to return your mattress, Logan & Cove and Hush will pick up returns within the sleep trial period. While Logan & Cove offers free returns, Hush deducts the cost of return shipping from your refund.

You only get Hush’s sleep trial and returns if you order from the Hush website. If you buy the mattress from Sleep Country, you’ll get their 100-night sleep trial, which allows you to exchange your mattress for a $65 fee. You’ll have to pay the difference if you choose a more expensive replacement mattress. You’ll also have to return the mattress to the nearest store yourself.

It is also worth noting that Sleep Country, Hush’s parent company, is rated “Poor” on Trustpilot. Sleep Country’s Better Business Bureau profile is rated “A+” (unaccredited), with a customer review rating of 1.27/5 stars.

Finally, Logan & Cove has a much longer 15-year warranty, while Hush’s industry-standard warranty is just 10 years. Hush’s warranty only covers manufacturing defects, and not incidental damage—including any damage the mattress may receive during shipping.
