Emma Original features a 3-layer design. It also uses Airgocell® and Halo Memory Foam™ to keep your body cool while providing pressure relief. Despite these exciting names, however, there are no details on the Emma website to communicate what makes these foam layers unique.
You may notice that Emma Original always seems to be on sale, and might wonder how much Emma marks up its products. Emma’s price cutting has previously been investigated by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, and was found to mislead customers with permanent “sales.”

Although the company uses trademark names to describe the mattress’s foam layers, Emma’s website doesn’t explain what actually makes their layers unique. The foam composition seems to be the same as the foam found in competing mattresses.
Emma Original has a machine-washable top cover made from a polyester and elastane fabric blend. The cover is soft to the touch but lacks the cooling features of competing foam mattresses like Douglas.
