Third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us) revealed very good edge support and above-average motion isolation for the Haven Resort Edition mattress, thanks to its zoned coil base and copper-infused Talalay latex. At $1,800 for a queen size, this mattress comes with only an average 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty.

The Haven Resort Edition is a 14″ tall pillowtop mattress with a 6-layer construction. However, the mattress we received only expanded to 13″. The medium-plush model, which we tested for this review, performed well in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us). With a medium-firm feel, it earned very good edge support and above-average motion isolation scores. It also received a bounce score that’s average for a hybrid mattress.
The Resort Edition is a pillowtop hybrid mattress with several layers of foam, latex, microcoils, and individually pocketed zoned coils. It features advanced cooling features like ventilated Talalay latex, copper infusions, cooling gel foam, and a bamboo cover.
In comparison, Canadian competitor Logan & Cove Frontier is also a medium-firm mattress with advanced cooling features but it’s priced lower than Haven at just $1,499 for a queen size. Frontier uses technologies such as cooling nanofibres in its top cover, cooling gel foam, and open-cell Elastex® foam, and pairs them with breathable coil layers. Despite being priced lower than Haven, your purchase comes with a free bedding bundle.

What are Haven’s Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns Policies?
Haven Resort Edition Hybrid arrives in 3–8 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. Shipping is free to most parts of Canada, though remote delivery fees may apply to certain locations and are calculated based on the mattress’s weight and size. The mattress arrives rolled up in a box and wrapped in plastic.

Haven’s 100-night sleep trial gives you the chance to try the mattress at home. Haven asks that you try the mattress for a minimum of 30 nights, after which you must complete a “Comfort Consult” with a Haven specialist to decide if there’s anything else that can be done to adjust your comfort. Only after this will you be able to initiate a return for an exchange to a different Haven mattress or a full refund. Haven will arrange free return pickup for most locations.
In addition to its sleep trial, Haven offers a 10-year limited warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. These policies are considerably shorter than the 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty offered by Canadian competitor Logan & Cove.

What Is the Haven Resort Edition Mattress Made of?
The Haven Resort Edition mattress we received measured 13″ tall, which is an inch shorter than the advertised 14″ height. It also has 6 layers. All the foam used in this mattress is CertiPUR-US® certified.
- Layer 1: The first layer is 1.2″ of an unspecified foam layer quilted directly beneath the bamboo cover and some batting. This layer adds cushioning and body-contouring comfort.
- Layer 2: The second layer is 0.8″ of ventilated Talalay latex that’s infused with organic copper. This layer of natural foam, which is both hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, adds responsive comfort, breathability, and cooling to the mattress. Haven says that this layer ensures even weight distribution and pressure relief. However, it’s important to note that “latex” wasn’t mentioned on the law label of the mattress we received.
- Layer 3: The next layer is 0.9″ of NaturFoam, which is infused with cooling gel foam. It’s a plant-based layer which helps regulate temperature.
- Layer 4: The fourth layer is 0.8″ of high-density NaturFoam, which acts as a transition layer between the comfort foam layers and the coils in this mattress.
- Layer 5: The first coil layer is 1.3″ of microcoils on top of some unspecified batting, which adds responsiveness and pressure relief.
- Layer 6: The last layer is 8″ of individually wrapped and pocketed coils, organized into 7 zones. Zoned coils provide targeted support by using firmer coils in some zones to promote proper spinal alignment and softer coils in others for greater pressure relief.
Haven’s top cover is quilted and made with polyethylene, Repreve (a textile made of recycled materials), polyester, bamboo, and spandex. The quilting offers a plush feel for comfort, while the materials used give it moisture-wicking properties and a cool-to-the-touch feel when you first get into bed.
