Mattress Breakdown

When comparing Logan & Cove vs Endy vs Emma, Logan & Cove Choice stands out in many categories.

Logan & Cove offers a generous 365-night sleep trial and a 15-year warranty. It comes with luxury details not often found in similarly priced mattresses, with advanced cooling features to keep you cool and comfortable. Logan & Cove mattresses also come with a free bedding bundle that includes a mattress protector, pillow(s), sheets, and pillow protector(s), adding even more value to your purchase.

In comparison, the Endy Hybrid mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty. Endy also had the lowest edge support and cooling feature scores compared to the other mattresses in this review.

Emma Hybrid Comfort has a 365-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty. Firmness

Medium-firm mattresses are ideal for all sleep styles because they provide a good balance of comfort and support. Whether you sleep on your side, back, or stomach, either mattress should offer a comfortable level of firmness.

According to third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Logan & Cove Choice scored 6.9/10, and the Endy Hybrid scored 6.1/10 for firmness, placing both mattresses within the medium-firm category. While Logan & Cove had a balanced medium-firm feel, our third-party engineers noted that the Endy Hybrid had a significant amount of “hug” and sink, which may be less desirable if you are a stomach sleeper.

Emma Hybrid Comfort, on the other hand, scored 7.8/10 for firmness. This places the mattress in the firm category. While back and stomach sleepers might find this mattress offers good support, it’s not ideal for side sleepers. You might notice added pressure on your shoulders and hips.

Edge Support

Thanks to their metal inner coils, hybrid mattresses generally have better edge support than foam mattresses.

Endy Hybrid received an edge support score of 6.0/10, while Emma Hybrid Comfort earned an edge support score of 7.3/10, both good scores.

Logan & Cove is the clear winner when it comes to edge support, with an excellent edge support of 7.5/10. You will feel the most confident sitting on the edge of the Logan & Cove Choice, which will provide the most amount of support.

Motion Isolation

Good motion isolation lets you sleep on a mattress peacefully without being disturbed by your partner, kids, or pets. Movements on one side of the bed should be barely noticeable on the other, ensuring uninterrupted rest for everyone. Logan & Cove Choice outperforms Endy Hybrid and Emma Hybrid with a motion isolation score of 7.5/10.

The Endy Hybrid and Emma Hybrid earned above-average motion isolation scores. Endy scored 7.2/10, while Emma scored 6.7/10.

If you share your bed with a partner or are a light sleeper who wants a mattress that provides excellent motion isolation for undisturbed sleep, you should consider the Logan & Cove Choice, which is the superior choice.

Bounce

Innerspring and hybrid mattresses tend to be bouncier and “springier” than all-foam ones. While bounce is more of a preference, it can indicate how easily you can change sleep positions and whether you might feel “stuck” in the mattress. A higher bounce score can make it easier to get out of bed and change positions.

Endy Hybrid scored 5.4/10 for bounce, while Emma Hybrid Comfort earned a bounce score of 5.2/10. These mattresses have similar scores, which indicate a fair amount of bounce, typically found in hybrid mattresses.

Logan & Cove Choice has a slightly above-average score of 5.8/10—a good score to provide a balanced amount of bounce and support. With this mattress’s exceptional motion isolation, you’ll enjoy undisturbed sleep and the ease of getting in and out of bed effortlessly.

Cooling Features

Emma Hybrid Comfort earned a low cooling features score of 3.0/10. While the mattress isn’t advertised as having cooling properties, it earned points for its moisture-wicking mattress cover, open-cell foams, and individually wrapped coils that allow for air circulation.

Endy Hybrid, also a mattress that does not advertise cooling features, performed slightly lower with a score of 2.0/10. This mattress also has open-cell foams and a layer of pocket coils, which improve its breathability.

When it comes to cooling features, Logan & Cove Choice performed the best of all three mattresses with a score of 4.4/10. Logan & Cove Choice comes with a cooling top cover with gel-infused foam and cooling nanofibres, an additional layer of gel foam to dissipate heat, pocket coils that promote airflow, and a layer of breathable Elastex® foam. For a refreshing sleep with balanced temperatures, Logan & Cove Choice stands out as the best option.

Higher-density support foam

Logan & Cove Choice, Emma Hybrid Comfort and Endy Hybrid are all hybrid mattresses. All three mattresses are CertiPUR-US® certified, but they have varying layers and construction to provide different benefits.

Logan & Cove Choice Mattress Layers

  • Layer 1: The first layer is 1″ of breathable hollow fibre fill and cooling gel-infused foam. It’s quilted directly under the tight-top cover, providing a degree of plushness and directly dissipating your body heat when you’re lying down.
  • Layer 2: The second layer is 1″ of ecoLuxe® cooling gel foam. This foam layer provides excellent comfort and pressure-point relief, conforming to your body’s shape while also wicking away heat and moisture.
  • Layer 3: The third layer is 1″ of Elastex® foam. This layer contours around your body, providing latex-like responsiveness and pressure relief, but without any of the allergy-causing chemicals in many natural latex mattresses.
  • Layer 4: The support layer is 9″ of individually pocketed coils. Made of double-tempered steel, these coils are divided into 3 body-supporting zones to give contouring support for your back and hips. This layer is also encased with 4″-thick edge support foam along the sidewalls to give you more support when sitting on your bed, or lying farther away from the middle.

Logan & Cove Choice stands 12″ tall and contains 4 layers. The cover combines polyester, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and spandex, bringing a level of plushness and luxury detailing rarely found in the bed-in-a-box industry. The integrated quilted tight-top features cooling nanofibers, breathable hollow fill, and gel-infused foam for a cooler, more comfortable sleep. It’s not removable or machine washable.

Endy Hybrid Mattress Layers

  • Layer 1: The 2″ comfort layer is made of Endy Comfort Foam, a polyurethane foam that “hugs” your body without allowing you to sink in too far. Endy also claims that the foam’s open-cell design improves airflow and breathability for cooler sleep.
  • Layer 2: The 3″ transition layer of polyurethane foam helps relieve pressure points and prevent motion transfer for undisturbed sleep.
  • Layer 3: Endy’s website says the 6″ zoned coil support layer features high-carbon steel pocket coils, wrapped in 100% polypropylene, for more lumbar support and motion isolation. This is important if you’re a light sleeper with a restless partner.
  • Layer 4: The 1.75″ support layer is made of high-density polyurethane foam that helps keep the mattress firm and supportive.

Endy Hybrid stands 13″ tall and has 4 layers. The mattress cover is made of polyester and is lined with Endy Foam and polyester fibre fill. Endy doesn’t publicly share composition or density details about its Endy Foam or Endy Comfort Foam beyond what’s disclosed on its website. This cover isn’t machine washable, so you will need to spot-clean any spills or stains.

Emma Hybrid Comfort Mattress Layers

  • Layer 1: The top (comfort) layer is made of open-cell foam, which is designed to absorb and dissipate your body heat while you’re asleep.
  • Layer 2: The second layer is made of polyurethane memory foam, which molds to your body’s shape and helps relieve pressure. It also keeps you from feeling the layers beneath while you’re lying on the mattress.
  • Layer 3: This layer of foam gives additional support and provides pressure relief for your joints. Emma says this layer is made with “durable HRX foam.” This stands for high resiliency extra base foam, but the website doesn’t explain what this is.
  • Layer 4: The fourth layer—one of two support layers–is composed of individually pocketed metal coils, divided into 7 zones of ergonomic support.
  • Layer 5: This second support layer is made of thick, higher-density foam that provides a solid foundation for the upper layers of the mattress.

Emma doesn’t disclose the foam densities used in its construction. The mattress also doesn’t position its coils on the bottom layer, which is unusual for a hybrid. This mattress has a machine-washable top cover made from a polyester/elastane fabric blend.
