Firmness, bounce, and cooling features are a matter of personal preference and aren’t part of our rating system, so these scores are shown in grey.

Recore Mattress Construction
The Recore latex mattress stands 10.5″ tall and has 3 foam layers, which are CertiPUR-US® certified.
- Layer 1: The 1.5″ top layer is made of graphite-infused synthetic latex, which includes vertical air channels to promote breathability. Latex is known for temperature control and pressure-point relief. Layer density: 3.4 lb/ft³.
- Layer 2: The 2″ middle layer of Vortex® cooling open-cell gel foam provides additional cooling and breathability. Foam density: 2.5 lb/ft³.
- Layer 3: The 7″ bottom foam layer has a heavier density and is designed to provide motion isolation and support. Foam density: 1.8 lb/ft³.
The mattress cover is a blend of polyester, spandex, poly-viscose, and SilverCharged® thread woven throughout. Silver has antimicrobial properties and can inhibit the growth of bacteria and other microbial cultures on the mattress surface. Recore’s cover is machine washable for convenient cleaning.
MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable.
Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. Foam and hybrid mattress test results are scored on separate scales to ensure fair contextual performance representation as much as possible. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

6.9 /10
Edge Support
A mattress with good edge support lets you sit on the edge of the bed or lie farther away from the middle without sliding off. In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Recore earned an edge support score of 6.9/10. This is an above-average score for a foam mattress.
7.1 /10
Motion Isolation
Mattresses with high motion isolation help soften movements from the other side of the bed. Foam mattresses tend to provide more motion isolation than hybrid and innerspring mattresses. Recore earned a motion isolation score of 7.1/10, which is very good for a foam mattress.
3.6 /10
Bounce
Bounce is a matter of personal preference. Higher bounce allows you to easily change sleep positions, while lower bounce gives you a more consistent surface. Recore scored a 3.6/10 for bounce, which is below average for a foam mattress.

6.4 /10
Cooling Features
Recore has a number of advanced cooling features that help provide temperature control. This mattress gains points for its:
- Silver thread woven into the cover fabric, which transfers heat away from the surface
- Synthetic latex foam for air circulation and heat dissipation
- Graphite infusion that conducts heat away from your body
- Perforations in the top foam layer for breathability
- Layer of open-cell foam to help dissipate excess heat
- Cooling gel infusion for added temperature regulation
Looking for a mattress with a higher cooling features score? Octave Mirage has more advanced cooling features, like copper-infused memory foam, aerations and perforations throughout the foam layers, and a top cover made with cooling nanofibres.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who makes Recore mattresses?
The Recore mattress was a graphite-infused synthetic mattress made by GoodMorning.com, Canada’s largest independent online mattress retailer. The company’s head office is located in Edmonton, Alberta. The mattress was discontinued in 2024, but GoodMorning.com still sells other mattress lines, including Douglas, Logan & Cove, Juno, and Octave.
Where are Recore mattresses made?
Recore mattresses were designed, manufactured, and assembled in Canada. However, this mattress was discontinued in 2024.
Is Recore a good mattress?
Recore performed well in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us). It earned an above-average edge support score and a very good motion isolation score. However, a medium feel may not be ideal for all sleep styles. Recore has also been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. If you’re looking for an alternative mattress designed with latex foam, you may prefer Octave Mirage instead.
What does the Recore mattress warranty include?
Recore mattresses are covered against manufacturing defects and physical flaws for 15 years. The mattress must be used on a proper base that has centre beam supports and an appropriate number of base legs. As with any mattress, we recommend reading the warranty policy before purchasing to ensure your bed frame is compliant.
