Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

Your Recore bed ships by ground directly to your front door using FedEx. Recore ships free throughout most of Canada. Additional fees may apply for shipping to territory capitals only. The order ships from Quebec and should arrive within 3–10 days.

The mattress arrives in a cardboard box and is protected by two layers of heavy-duty plastic. After it’s unrolled, Recore fully expands within one minute and is ready to sleep on the same day it’s delivered. The mattress may take up to 24 hours for it to achieve its designed level of firmness.

Recore offers a 120-night sleep trial so you can try the mattress at home. They’ll issue a full refund if you aren’t completely happy with your purchase. The company will also arrange to pick up returns for free within the sleep trial period.

The Canadian-made Recore performance latex mattress has 3 layers that work together to optimize your sleep experience.

  • Layer 1: The 1.5″ top layer is made of graphite-infused synthetic latex. It includes vertical air channels, giving you the breathable and cooling properties of latex without the allergens. A moderate amount of sink gives pressure-point relief and good support for all sleep styles. Layer density: 3.4 lb/ft³.
  • Layer 2: The 2″ middle layer of Vortex® cooling open-cell gel foam provides additional cooling and breathability. The top and middle layers work together to keep you cool and comfortable all night long, allowing you to sleep more deeply and recover from your day. Foam density: 2.5 lb/ft³.
  • Layer 3: The 7″ bottom foam layer is designed to provide excellent motion isolation and support for an undisturbed sleep. This is important if you’re a light sleeper and your partner tosses and turns at night. Foam density: 1.8 lb/ft³.

The mattress cover is a blend of polyester, spandex, poly-viscose, and SilverCharged® thread woven throughout. Silver has antimicrobial properties, and Recore’s SilverCharged® cover inhibits the growth and spread of bacteria and other microbial cultures on the mattress surface. This helps the cover last longer, and keeps it free of odours.

Mattress Performance Results

6.9 /10

Edge Support

The Recore mattress has great edge support at 6.9/10. This means you will have no trouble sitting on the edge of the mattress, and should be able to get out of bed easily.

7.1 /10

Motion Isolation

Latex mattresses are good for motion isolation, and Recore runs true to form with a score of 7.1/10. This mattress effectively absorbs movement from the other side of the bed. If you’re a co-sleeper, you’re less likely to be woken by a restless partner, kids, or pets.

3.6 /10

Bounce

Recore scored a 3.6/10 for bounce. That’s not surprising given its high motion isolation. Latex is known for its durability and resilience, providing a bouncier surface than foam or memory foam. These properties make it easier to get into and out of bed, or to shift sleeping positions during the night.

“Excellent”

Recore was owned by GoodMorning.com, Canada’s largest independent online mattress retailer, before being discontinued in 2024. Recore benefitted from the years’ worth of experience, engineering data, and customer feedback of its parent company’s first mattress, Novosbed (now Octave).

Using insights from sleep science and sport performance, Recore was designed to use modern materials like graphite-infused synthetic latex and antimicrobial silver. The mattress was made for active people needing to wake up feeling refreshed, for those looking to optimize their sleep health, and for anyone wanting a latex mattress.

Should You Buy Recore?

While Recore is an excellent mattress, it was discontinued in 2024. If you’re looking for a mattress with the cooling, pressure-relieving qualities of latex, consider Octave Mirage.

Octave Mirage is made with layers of specialty memory foam, including a premium Elastex® foam layer that feels just like natural body-cushioning latex. Mirage comes with a 365-night sleep trial and a 15-year warranty, all for just $1,199.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who makes Recore mattresses?

The Recore mattress was a graphite-infused synthetic mattress made by GoodMorning.com, Canada’s largest independent online mattress retailer. The company’s head office is located in Edmonton, Alberta. The mattress was discontinued in 2024, but GoodMorning.com still sells other mattress lines, including Douglas, Logan & Cove, Juno, and Octave.

Where are Recore mattresses made?

Recore mattresses were designed, manufactured, and assembled in Canada. However, this mattress was discontinued in 2024.

Is Recore a good mattress?

Recore is an excellent latex mattress that’s geared toward active people who want to wake up feeling physically refreshed, those looking to optimize their sleep health, and anyone who wants a latex mattress. Its cooling properties, pressure-point relief, and perfect balance of support and comfort make Recore a favourite among customers.

However, while Recore is good for all sleep styles, it may not offer enough support for heavy people who are stomach sleepers. (Check out our review of the Best Mattresses for Heavy People, and our number-one pick: Logan & Cove Choice.)

How long does a Recore mattress last?

A mattress made entirely of organic latex will last 10–12 years and possibly more. Recore combines synthetic latex, next-generation Vortex gel foam, and gel-infused foam and support foam. With this construction, Recore should last the same amount of time. (Read our guide to how long a mattress should last.)

What does the Recore mattress warranty include?

Your Recore mattress is covered against manufacturing defects and physical flaws for 15 years from the day you buy it. You must keep the proof of purchase and not remove the mattress tags. You will also need to unbox the mattress within two weeks of receiving it.

The warranty is only effective if you keep the bed on a proper base, not directly on the floor. Contact with the floor allows moisture to build up and damage the mattress. The mattress warranty details suitable types of bed bases, including centre beam supports, the number of base legs, and not using an adjustable bed base made of wired metal. Check your mattress warranty coverage for full details.
