Exchange-Only Budget Foam Mattress

Springwall Enchantment is an all-foam budget mattress from Canada-based company Springwall. This mattress is made with eco-friendly, soy-based bio foam and moisture-wicking gel in the top layer. It’s available at The Brick for $399 for a queen size.

While Springwall Enchantment appeals to budget shoppers, it has a restrictive 90-day exchange period and 5-year warranty. The exchange period isn’t a true sleep trial because The Brick only provides exchanges, not returns and refunds. The warranty is also shorter than the 10-year industry average.

In comparison, competing value foam mattress Juno comes with a 120-night sleep trial and a 15-year warranty.

Choose Juno and get a 120-night trial and 15-year warranty, along with a free bedding bundle.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns

The Brick charges for shipping but doesn’t offer general delivery estimates. Instead, shipping costs and timelines are calculated based on your postal code. Springwall Enchantment is delivered through The Brick’s distribution system, not third-party couriers.

The Brick offers a 90-day exchange period, which means less time to try your mattress and greater restrictions than the industry standard 100-night sleep trial. You can return your Springwall mattress if you aren’t satisfied with it. However, you won’t receive a refund—only store credit that you can put toward a one-time exchange. Because Springwall Enchantment is one of the lowest-priced options on the market, this could mean you’ll need to pay more to switch to another mattress.

Springwall comes with a 5-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects only. Like most manufacturer warranties, Springwall’s warranty doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, mattress or box spring damage, or stains caused by spilling food or drink. This warranty period is much shorter than the 10-year industry standard.

In comparison, competing foam mattress Juno offers better value all around. It ships free to most parts of Canada, comes with a 120-night trial, and is backed by a significantly longer 15-year warranty. If you decide to return the mattress during the trial, Juno will arrange pickup and provide a full refund.

Springwall Enchantment stands 9″ tall and contains 2 foam layers.

  • Layer 1: The top (comfort) layer is gel quilt foam. This layer provides a cooling sleeping surface to help regulate your body temperature as you sleep.
  • Layer 2: The bottom (support) layer is composed of soy-based bio foam, which the manufacturer claims is eco-friendly. This foam layer provides both comfort and support.

All foam used in Springwall Enchantment is CertiPUR-US® certified. The Brick doesn’t provide thicknesses or foam densities for any of the mattress layers.

Springwall Enchantment’s mattress cover isn’t removable, machine washable, or water resistant. In case of any spills or stains, spot-clean the mattress carefully using as little water as possible.

Mattress Performance Results

4.3 /10

Edge Support

In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Springwall Enchantment scored 4.3/10 for edge support. This is slightly below average for a foam mattress. However, you should still be able to sit comfortably on the edge of your bed.

6.1 /10

Motion Isolation

Springwall Enchantment scored 6.1/10 on motion isolation. If you are a light sleeper, this mattress should keep you (and your partner) from noticing sleep-disturbing movements.

If you’re looking for a mattress with slightly more motion isolation, Juno scored slightly better, with a motion isolation score of 6.2/10.

4.0 /10

Bounce

Springwall Enchantment scored 4.0/10 for bounce. This is somewhat responsive but still lower than average for a foam mattress. However, you should still be able to change positions easily.

If you’re looking for a mattress with less bounce for a more consistent sleep surface, try Juno with its lower bounce score of 2.5/10.

Springwall was founded in 1949 and is headquartered outside of Moncton, New Brunswick. The company has manufacturing facilities located in Moncton, Mississauga, and Calgary.

The company currently doesn’t have a profile with the Better Business Bureau or on Trustpilot. It also doesn’t share reviews on its website. Springwall mattress reviews on The Brick’s website note that products sag sooner than expected and become uncomfortable in as little as a month. Other customers noted that Springwall mattresses have caused or worsened back pain.

Should You Buy Springwall Enchantment?

Springwall Enchantment is a reasonably good value foam mattress. However, it has an exceptionally short warranty and a shorter-than-average exchange period with restrictions around product returns—not ideal for a bed-in-a-box. We find more value in competitor Juno.

Juno offers more value for a similar price at just $499 for a queen size. It offers better motion isolation, a 120-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle with purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Springwall mattresses good?

Springwall has been producing mattresses for decades. The Canadian-based company produces a variety of models that range in price point, and has earned a reputation for fabricating decent mattresses.

The Springwall Enchantment mattress may be eco-conscious, but we think you’ll be much more satisfied with Juno. At $499 for a queen size, Juno offers better motion isolation, a 120-sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle with pillow(s). Unlike Springwall, Juno also provides free return pickup with a full refund if you aren’t satisfied with your mattress.

Where are Springwall mattresses made?

Springwall mattresses are made in Canada. The company has manufacturing facilities located in Moncton, Mississauga, and Calgary.

Where can you buy a Springwall mattress?

You can buy a Springwall Enchantment mattress at The Brick. However, Springwall sells its other mattress models at a variety of retailers.

How much does a Springwall mattress cost?

Springwall Enchantment is only available in twin, double/full, and queen size. It’s currently priced at $399 for all sizes.

Does Springwall offer trial periods on their mattresses?

Springwall offers sleep trials for mattresses sold through its website, but not for Springwall Enchantment. You get a 90-night exchange period when you buy Springwall Enchantment from The Brick.

How do I return a Springwall mattress?

You can either bring your mattress back to The Brick yourself or arrange for return pickup. However, you won’t receive a refund when you return your Springwall mattress. You’ll only receive store credit that you can put toward a one-time exchange. If your new mattress costs more than Springwall Enchantment, you’ll need to pay the difference.

What does the Springwall mattress warranty cover?

Springwall’s 5-year warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It doesn’t cover damage to the mattress’s fabric, or any mishaps that occur during shipping. The warranty is non-prorated, which means your coverage won’t decrease over the length of the warranty period as the mattress ages.

What Springwall mattress alternatives should I consider?

Juno gives you better value for your money at just $499 for a queen size. This mattress comes with a 120-night sleep trial, 15-year warranty, and free bedding bundle with pillow(s). If you decide to return your Juno mattress, you’ll even get free return pickup and a full refund—something Springwall Enchantment doesn’t provide.
