The medium-firm Endy Hybrid model measures 12″ tall. However, in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), this mattress earned a firmness score that’s consistent with a firm mattress. This makes the mattress firmer than advertised. In general, a firm mattress is best suited for back and stomach sleepers, as well as individuals with heavier body types. Side sleepers and those with lightweight bodies may notice pressure points when sleeping on a firm mattress.
Although each firmness option is a different height, all Endy Hybrid models have 5 layers of varying heights. Endy’s layer of individually pocketed coils features more supportive coils around the perimeter and across the centre of the mattress, creating zoned support and providing excellent edge support.
To keep temperatures cool, Endy Hybrid incorporates its proprietary open-cell foam, a cooling gel infusion, and a layer of breathable pocketed coils. The quilted top cover of the mattress doesn’t contain any cooling materials, and can’t be removed. Endy recommends spot-cleaning any spills or stains.
If you’re searching for a mattress with good edge support, greater motion isolation, and a higher number of cooling features, you may want to consider an option like Logan & Cove Choice. For just $999 for a queen size, Choice also features zoned support, but comes with a longer 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty (by default), plus a free bedding bundle with your purchase.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns
Endy mattresses are made in Canada and ship directly from Endy’s warehouses to their customers. Your Endy mattress will ship in a box and should arrive on your doorstep in 2–8 business days. Shipping to most Canadian locations is free, but remote addresses will be subject to longer delivery timelines and a $150 shipping fee.

Endy ships mainly using couriers like FedEx, but for certain more remote orders, they partner with Frontier. While there aren’t size restrictions for the majority of Endy orders, the Endy website specifies that they’re unable to ship King or California King size mattresses to the Canadian Territories. They also only ship to 3 cities in the Territories.
Your Endy mattress will come with an industry-standard 100-night sleep trial and a default 10-year warranty. You’ll have up to 100 nights to decide if the mattress is the right fit for you. If it’s not, Endy will coordinate the return and pickup of your mattress for free, and have it donated to a local charity or recycled.
Endy’s warranty can be extended to 15 years by registering as an Endy VIP. The Endy Hybrid mattress warranty covers sagging not associated with improper use or base, and any physical flaws in the product, despite normal handling. Tearing of Endy Hybrid’s handles while moving or rotating the mattress won’t be covered by the warranty.
If you’re searching for extra protection for your mattress, Endy also offers an additional 3-year protection plan through Mulberry. For an additional $30 at checkout, you can get coverage for certain spills, stains, and accidental damage to your mattress.
In comparison, some Canadian mattress brands like Logan & Cove offer a longer 365-night sleep trial and a 15-year warranty by default. Logan & Cove also comes with a free bedding bundle that includes a mattress protector to keep your mattress clean.

Endy Hybrid Mattress Construction
The medium-firm Endy Hybrid mattress features 5 layers and stands 12″ tall. For the same price, sleepers can also choose the 11″ firm model, or upgrade to the 13″ plush model for an additional $200. All foam used in the mattresses are CertiPUR-US® certified.
- Layer 1: The first layer of Endy Hybrid is the quilted top cover. 1″ of foam is tufted directly to the material to create a plush sleep surface.
- Layer 2: Endy Hybrid’s second layer is 2″ of the brand’s proprietary Comfort Foam. This is an open-cell polyurethane foam that includes a cooling gel infusion for a more temperature-controlled sleep.
- Layer 3: A 1.5″ layer of transition foam helps to reduce motion transfer and keeps you from feeling the springs in the support layer below.
- Layer 4: Endy uses 7″ tall individually pocketed coils arranged in a zoned pattern for its support layer. Thicker and more rigid steel coils are used around the perimeter and across the centre of the mattress for more lumbar and edge support.
- Layer 5: A final 0.5″ foam layer helps cushion the coil layer as it rests on your bedframe.
Like many other hybrid mattresses, the cover on Endy Hybrid isn’t removable or machine-washable. It should be spot-cleaned only with warm water and a gentle detergent. While the Endy cover itself doesn’t seem to have any cooling properties, the mattress uses the brand’s open-cell foam quilted beneath the cover. Open-cell foam doesn’t retain as much heat as traditional memory foam or closed-cell foams.

MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable.
Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. Foam and hybrid mattress test results are scored on separate scales to ensure fair contextual performance representation as much as possible. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

Firmness
Despite being described as a medium-firm mattress, Endy Hybrid received a firmness score of 7.0/10. This score is consistent with a firm feel. While firmer mattresses can be comfortable for stomach and back sleepers, they can sometimes cause shoulder and knee pressure points during side sleeping.

Edge Support
Hybrid mattresses like Endy often use a more supportive perimeter to ensure sitting or lying near the edge of the bed is easy and comfortable. In Endy Hybrid’s case, it uses a thicker and stiffer set of steel pocketed coils. These coils helped Endy earn an edge support score of 8.8/10, shown by its average 3.3″ deflection. This is an excellent score for a hybrid mattress.
6.5 /10
Motion Isolation
Motion isolation is how well a mattress keeps you from feeling movements from other parts of the bed. Endy Hybrid earned a motion isolation score of 6.5/10, This is above average for a hybrid mattress, but isn’t as high as the score for The Endy.
(Want a hybrid mattress with greater motion isolation? Consider Logan & Cove Choice with its higher motion isolation score of 7.5/10.)
5.8 /10
Bounce
Bounce in mattresses is a matter of personal preference. A higher bounce score indicates a more responsive mattress, while a lower bounce score may indicate better motion isolation. Different sleepers will prefer different bounce levels. Endy Hybrid received a bounce score of 5.8/10, which is just above average for a hybrid mattress.

Cooling Features
While Endy Hybrid isn’t advertised as a cooling mattress, it incorporates some features to help maintain a comfortable temperature balance throughout the night. Endy hybrid earns points for its:
- Layer of cooling gel-infused foam that helps to dissipate excess heat

- Layer of individually pocketed coils that allows air to move throughout the mattress
If you want a mattress with a higher cooling feature score, consider Logan & Cove Choice. Choice’s top cover features cooling nanofibres for a cool-to-the-touch feel throughout the night. Company Background
Endy, founded in Toronto in 2015, is a well-known mattress-in-a-box brand. The Endy mattress quickly gained popularity in Canada after appearing on Dragon’s Den, and became one of the most recognized mattress brands, competing with other popular brands like Douglas and Casper. Endy was later acquired by Sleep Country Canada in 2018 and primarily sells their mattresses online as a subsidiary. Endy has also opened stores in Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Alberta.
In addition to their original foam mattress, Endy also sells the Endy Hybrid mattress and a range of bedding accessories and living room furniture. The Endy foam mattress remains their most well-known product. Endy has thousands of customer reviews across their website’s various product pages.
That said, it’s important to look at customer reviews on third-party review sites such as Trustpilot and Better Business Bureau to get an idea of others’ experiences with the company. Endy is rated “A+” with BBB. However, their customer review rating is just 1/5 stars. The company is rated “Poor” on Trustpilot. Sleep Country Canada, which owns Endy, is rated “A+” (unaccredited) on BBB but has a customer review score of just 1.28 stars. Sleep Country is also rated “Poor” on Trustpilot.
