The Sealy Hollycourt mattress stands 14.25″ tall and features a Euro-top construction. It has a medium-firm feel, making it suitable for all sleep styles. Hollycourt is only available in a queen size and costs $749.
Hollycourt has a layer of gel-infused convoluted foam to help keep you cool while you sleep and regulate temperatures throughout the night. A second layer of gel-infused foam is pre-compressed, which the Costco website says helps keep the foam more supportive for longer. The Hollycourt mattress cover is made with Sealy’s CleanProtect fabric, which is 100% polyester with an antibacterial treatment.
In comparison, competitor brand Logan & Cove also offers several cooling features like open-cell foam infused with cooling gel and cooling nanofibres in the top cover. This helps regulate temperatures throughout the night. Competitively priced at $999 for a queen size, Logan & Cove Choice is available in a full range of sizes and comes with a 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns
Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt is available at Costco both in-store and online, although product availability and pricing may differ by warehouse location. Shipping is free for online orders. You can, however, upgrade to White Glove with Haul Away service for an extra $75, and have your old mattress removed upon the new one’s delivery. Your Sealy mattress should arrive on your doorstep in 7–10 business days business days, according to Costco’s website. Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt was delivered to us fully expanded.
When purchasing a mattress through Costco, you won’t receive a sleep trial. Although Costco is known for its generous return policy, your return must still be approved in order to get your money back. Costco will only provide return pickup if you ordered the mattress online. Otherwise, you’ll need to haul it back to the warehouse yourself.
The Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt warranty is a 10-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. You’ll be covered for any premature divots, ripped handles, protruding springs, and other defects, as long as you use a proper mattress base and protect the mattress from spills or stains. Not following these terms will void your warranty. Sealy recommends using a mattress protector to help keep your warranty intact, although you won’t receive one with your purchase.

Sealy Posturepedic Mattress Construction
The Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt mattress is a 4-layer hybrid mattress assembled in Canada. It stands 14.25″ tall and includes layers of foam and individually pocketed coils.
- Layer 1: The first layer of this mattress is 1.25″ of Sealy’s convoluted GelBoost HD memory foam. This gel-infused foam offers a cooling effect and helps improve airflow throughout the mattress.
- Layer 2: This 3″ transition layer is SealySupport gel-HD foam—a second layer of gel-infused foam that is pre-compressed. This layer is CertiPUR-US® certified, but it’s not clear if this certification applies to all layers. This layer offers additional cushioning and prevents you from feeling the springs below.
- Layer 3: A 9″ inch layer of individually pocketed SealyResponse coils offers support and responsiveness, and is also meant to help reduce motion transfer.
- Layer 4: The final layer of this mattress is an unspecified fibre fill that measures 0.5″ when compressed beneath the coil layer (roughly 2″ when uncompressed, as seen in the photo above). The innerspring system rests on this layer, likely for stability and to prevent noise or scratches from the coils. The layer isn’t mentioned on Costco’s product page.
The remainder of this mattress’s height is made up of 0.5″ of fibre quilted into the Euro-top cover. These MoistureProtect fibres are described on Costco’s product page as being designed to draw moisture away from your body throughout the night.
Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt’s cover is not removable or machine washable, so any stains or spills will need to be spot-cleaned. Any stains on the mattress will void your warranty, so Sealy suggests investing in a mattress protector. However, unlike competing brand Logan & Cove, the mattress doesn’t come with a mattress protector. You’ll need to purchase one yourself for an added cost.

MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable.
Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. Foam and hybrid mattress test results are scored on separate scales to ensure fair contextual performance representation as much as possible. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

Firmness
Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt had a deflection of 3.5″ when laid on, which contributed to its firmness score of 6.1/10 when tested by third-party engineers. This places the mattress in the medium-firm range—a firmness typically well-suited for all sleepers.

7.3 /10
Edge Support
Good edge support is important if you like sitting up or lounging on the side of your bed, tend to sleep closer to the edge or need extra stability for getting in and out of bed—especially if you or your partner have mobility challenges.
When tested for edge support, Sealy Hollycourt had a deflection of 4.8″. This resulted in a very good score of 7.3/10. You should feel supported while you sleep without having to worry about falling off the edges.
(Need a mattress with slightly higher edge support? Consider Logan & Cove Choice with its higher score of 7.5/10.)
6.1 /10
Motion Isolation
Hybrid mattresses like Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt use individually pocketed coils to help reduce motion transfer across their innerspring systems. Sealy performed above average for motion isolation, earning a score of 6.1/10. Small movements from the other side of the bed will be muted.
(Need a mattress with a higher motion isolation score? Consider Logan & Cove and its score of 7.5/10.)
6.9 /10
Bounce
Bounce is a matter of personal preference. It measures how quickly a mattress bounces back to its original shape after pressure is applied. Lower bounce can mean a more even sleep surface, good for undisturbed sleep when paired with high motion isolation. A higher degree of bounce can make it easier to change positions while you sleep but can shake the mattress more.
Hybrid mattresses with coils tend to be more bouncy and have a high response to pressure since they’re easy to switch positions and move around on.
Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt had a bounce score of 6.9/10, which is above average for a hybrid mattress.
(Need a less bouncy sleep surface? You may prefer Logan & Cove and its slightly lower bounce score of 5.8/10.)

4.7 /10
Cooling Features
Sealy Hollycourt is not advertised as a cooling mattress, but it does have a few features that promote cooling and breathability. This mattress earned points for its:
- Moisture-wicking fibres in the top cover designed to keep you dry and comfortable
- Convoluted memory foam for airflow and temperature control
- Gel-infused foam to help regulate body temperature
- Layer of breathable individually pocketed coils
If you want to purchase a mattress with a sleep trial and without a Costco membership, consider competitor mattress Logan & Cove Choice, which has a similar cooling feature score of 4.4/10. It features CryoFusion™ nanofibres, breathable hollow fibre-fill, gel-infused foam quilted into the cover, a layer of cooling gel foam, and individually wrapped pocketed coils.

Company Background
Founded in the 1880s, Sealy crafted customized mattresses in a Texas town, adopting the town’s name as its own. Sealy was an industry frontrunner by the 1920s. The well-known Posturepedic mattress line was added to the company in the early 1950s.
In 2012, Sealy merged with Tempur-Pedic, one of its biggest competitors, to become Tempur Sealy International, Inc. As of February 2025, Tempur-Sealy has changed its name to Somnigroup International. The corporation also owns the Stearns & Foster mattress brand.
Sealy holds a “B-” (unaccredited) rating on the Better Business Bureau, but a customer review rating of only 1/5. On Trustpilot, Sealy has a “Poor” rating with a customer review rating of 2.2/5.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Sealy a good mattress?
Sealy Hollycourt performed well in third-party engineer tests (comissioned by us), with above-average motion isolation and very good edge support. It also has above-average bounce.
It’s important, however, to consider third-party review sites like Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot to get a full picture of the customer experience. Sealy is rated “Poor” on Trustpilot and “B-” (unaccredited) on the Better Business Bureau, with a customer review rating of just 1/5 stars.
We think you should check out Logan & Cove. This Canadian-owned brand is rated “Excellent” on Trustpilot, and its parent company, GoodMorning.com, is rated “A+” on BBB with a customer review score of 4.89/5.
Are Costco Sealy mattresses good?
Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt performed well in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), with above-average motion isolation and very good edge support. However, it’s available exclusively at Costco. You need a Costco membership to purchase a mattress, and you also won’t receive a sleep trial. If you purchased the mattress in-store and want to return it, you’re responsible for transporting it back to the warehouse. Costco will have to approve any returns.
In comparison, companies like Logan & Cove offer a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and free delivery and return pickup. You also get a free bedding bundle with your purchase—something you won’t get from Costco.
Are Sealy and Serta the same company?
No, Sealy and Serta are separate companies. Sealy was founded in 1880 and merged with Tempur-Pedic in 2012 to become Tempur Sealy International, Inc. Tempur-Sealy owns the Sealy, Tempur-Pedic, and Stearns & Foster brands.
Serta is owned by Serta Simmons Bedding LLC. The parent company owns other mattress brands like Beautyrest, Simmons, and Tuft & Needle.
Can you flip a Sealy Posturepedic mattress?
No, you shouldn’t flip your Sealy mattress. Like most modern mattresses, Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt is meant to be used one way only. Hybrid mattresses are often constructed with foam on the top and springs at the bottom. If you flip the mattress, you’ll be sleeping on top of the firm spring layer, causing discomfort and losing all the benefits of the plush top layer.
Do Sealy mattresses have fiberglass?
None of the Sealy mattresses we tested had fiberglass.
According to the Sealy website, their mattresses are assembled in Canada using Canadian and US-sourced components, meaning some parts may need to comply with US fire safety regulations. In the US, it is common for manufacturers to use fire socks made with fiberglass for their fire-resistant and self-extinguishing properties.
Sealy states that all hybrid models do not contain fiberglass. Instead, they feature a flame barrier made from rayon and polyester.

Do Sealy mattresses need a box spring?
The Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt mattress can be purchased with a box spring directly from Costco, but does not explicitly need to be used with a box spring. This mattress requires a foundation that has at least 5 equally spaced hardwood cross-slats, or a rigid bridge bar and 5 support legs. Any flat-surface foundation, such as a platform bed, would also be appropriate to use with Hollycourt.
Does Sealy make Stearns & Foster mattresses?
The Sealy brand is owned by parent company Tempur Sealy International, Inc., who also manufactures Stearns & Foster mattresses.
Does Sealy own Tempur-Pedic?
In 2012, the Sealy and Tempur-Pedic mattress brands merged to form Tempur Sealy International, Inc. As of February 2025, Tempur-Sealy has changed its name to Somnigroup International. The parent company now owns and operates both the Tempur-Pedic and Sealy brands.
How long is the Sealy warranty?
The warranty on Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt is a 10-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. In Hollycourt’s case, this warranty is provided through Costco. You’ll need to contact Costco in case of a warranty claim.
The Sealy warranty specifies their mattresses need to be used on quality foundations that provide “continuous support” and are found to be “adequate” by Sealy. In conjunction with proper handling and normal use, the frame “must have a rigid bridge-bar with at least 5 support legs or 5 equally spaced hardwood cross-slats with a supporting center leg” for a queen-size mattress or larger.
The warranty will cover ripped handles or protruding springs, but not superficial damage to your mattress, such as stains, burns, or a soiled cover.
What Sealy mattress alternatives should I consider?
We think you should consider Logan & Cove Choice as an alternative to Sealy Posturepedic Hollycourt. Logan & Cove makes their hybrid mattresses in Canada, for Canadians. Made with a combination of foams and individually pocketed steel coils, Choice performed very well for both motion isolation and edge support. It also has 4,500+ five-star reviews and comes with a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and free bedding bundle with purchase.
