Popular Simba Mattresses

Simba mattresses can be purchased through Simba’s Canadian website, or through Sleep Country Canada (online or in-person). Sleep Country manages all Simba product sales in Canada, so no matter where you purchase your Simba mattress, you’re buying under Sleep Country’s policies.

Sleep Country offers an industry-standard 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty. But if you want to return your Simba mattress, you won’t receive a refund. Sleep Country’s exchange-only policy means you get store credit, minus a $65 exchange fee. You can use store credit to buy a different Sleep Country product, but you’ll have to pay the difference in cost if you’re buying something pricier than your original mattress.

While Simba mattresses have high reviews, you’re better off choosing Logan & Cove. This Canadian company offers a 365-night sleep trial, risk-free returns with a full refund, and a 15-year warranty—all for a lower price than an entry-level Simba mattress.

Simba 1500

Simba 1500 is the brand’s entry-level hybrid, but it still retails at an above-average $1,999 for a queen size. This 3-layer hybrid mattress contains a 2″ layer of micro coils.

According to its law label, the Simba 1500 mattress we ordered was manufactured and boxed over two years before delivery. Compression for longer than three months can affect a mattress’ long-term performance—and Simba only has a 10-year warranty to begin with.

Looking for a lower-priced hybrid mattress? Consider Logan & Cove Frontier.

Simba 2500

Simba 2500 is the brand’s mid-range hybrid mattress, which retails at $2,199 for a queen size. Its 4 layers include a hypoallergenic mattress cover, graphite-infused foam, micro coils, and support foam.

The mattress offers above-average edge support and excellent motion isolation; however, it’s worth noting that the cheaper Simba 1500 model performed better in these areas.

Need a hybrid mattress with better edge support and a more responsive feel? Meet Logan & Cove Frontier.

Simba 5000

Simba 5000 is a medium-firm hybrid mattress that retails at $2,499 for a queen size. Its 5 layers include hypoallergenic wool, graphite-infused latex foam, micro coils, and support foam.

Although Simba 5000 scored well for motion isolation in third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), it performed below average for edge support. We would expect better performance for a mattress at this price point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Simba mattresses good?

Simba mattresses are more expensive than many other hybrid mattresses and have relatively few features. The company’s 100-night sleep trial and 10-year warranty are also just industry standard.

You should check out Logan & Cove instead. With Logan & Cove’s 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty, you’ll get lasting value from a bed with luxury detailing and advanced cooling technologies—all starting at just $799.

How much is a Simba mattress?

Depending on the size and model you purchase, Simba mattresses range from $1,399–$3,699. Prices may also vary depending on the retailer you purchase from.

If you aren’t a fan of your Simba mattress and want to make a return, you will have to pay a $65 fee and can only exchange your mattress for a different one from Sleep Country.

Where are Simba mattresses made?

Simba manufactures mattresses for its Canadian market in Canada.

Who owns Simba Mattress?

Simba Sleep is owned by founders James Cox, Steve Reid, Andrew McClements, and Harry McClements. In Canada, the company has an exclusive partnership with Sleep Country Canada.

Does the Simba mattress come in a box?

Yes, Simba mattresses come in a box. Simba rolls and compresses its mattresses like other bed-in-a-box brands for easier shipping.

It’s important to note that the Simba 1500 mattress we purchased stated that the mattress was manufactured over two years earlier, meaning it had been sitting in its box in storage during that entire period. Having a mattress boxed up for longer than three months can greatly affect its long-term performance and comfort.

How long does a Simba mattress last?

Simba offers a 10-year warranty on its mattresses, but customer reviews indicate that the mattresses can sag and deteriorate relatively soon after purchase.

Do you have to rotate a Simba mattress?

Simba recommends rotating its mattress 180° every month when you first receive it to promote even wear. You can then eventually bump this frequency down to every 3–6 months, although they don’t mention after how long.

What does the manufacturer’s warranty cover?

Simba mattresses come with an industry-standard 10-year warranty through Sleep Country that covers manufacturing defects only. It doesn’t cover normal wear and tear or incidental damage.

What is a good Simba mattress alternative?

If you’re looking for a Canadian-made, luxury hybrid mattress for under $2,000 for a queen size, we recommend Logan & Cove Frontier. Voted the best Luxury Hybrid Mattress by Canadian Living in 2024, Logan & Cove has around 4,500+ five-star reviews from verified customers. The company is also rated “Excellent” on Trustpilot and “A+” on Better Business Bureau.

Priced at just $1,299 for a queen size, Logan & Cove Frontier offers much more value for less money. Each mattress comes with cooling gel foam, micro coils and pocketed springs, and a plush Euro-top cover. Your purchase also comes with a 365-night sleep trial, 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle.
