Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns
Simba 2500 may be ordered directly from Simba Sleep’s Canadian website or via Sleep Country Canada. However, because Sleep Country has exclusive sales rights for Simba in Canada, they will also handle any shipping for orders made through the Canadian Simba website. Shipping is free across most of Canada, and the mattress should reach your doorstep packaged in a box in 3–10 business days, including dispatch and delivery time. If you live in the Territories or Newfoundland and Labrador, delivery takes 7–10 days and costs $120.

You have a 100-night sleep trial to decide whether to keep Simba 2500. The company asks that you spend at least 30 days with the mattress before returning it. You’ll need to bring the mattress back to the store yourself, as Sleep Country doesn’t provide return pickup.
Sleep Country also doesn’t offer refunds on returned mattresses. You can only exchange your mattress for in-store credit minus a $65 exchange fee. If you exchange Simba 2500 for a more expensive mattress, you must pay the price difference.
Simba 2500 comes with an industry-standard 10-year warranty, which covers manufacturing defects only. It doesn’t cover normal wear and tear or incidental damage. In comparison, other hybrid mattresses like Logan & Cove Frontier come with a 365-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and free return pickup with your mattress during the sleep trial.
Choose Logan & Cove Frontier with its 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty.

Simba 2500 Mattress Construction
Simba 2500 is a 12″ hybrid mattress with 4 distinct interior layers. Three of these layers are foam, and one uses up to 2,500 micro-coils. All foam used is CertiPUR-US® certified. Simba doesn’t publicly disclose the densities of the foams used in Simba 2500’s construction.
- Layer 1: The top layer is 1″ of graphite-infused foam. This layer contours around your body and helps to relieve pressure. The graphite infusion helps to dissipate heat, keeping your sleep cool.
- Layer 2: The second layer is 1″ of micro-coils. These cone-shaped springs are individually pocketed and encased in a layer of edge support foam along the mattress’s sidewalls.
- Layer 3: The third layer is 3.5″ of polyurethane foam that incorporates Simba’s “Edge Lift” technology. This layer is explained as creating more edge support, although the company doesn’t clearly explain how it does this.
- Layer 4: The bottom layer is 6.5″ of support foam. This dense foam layer gives the mattress most of its bulk and keeps you from sinking in too deep, and has perforations to increase airflow.
Simba’s mattress cover is made of polyester, polypropylene, and a small amount of elastane. It has handles on the side to make moving the mattress easier. The cover is described as breathable, and although it has a zipper, the cover is not meant to be removed and is not machine-washable. Simba recommends that you spot-clean this mattress only.

MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable. Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

6.1 /10
Firmness
In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Simba 2500 had a deflection of 3.5″ when laid on, giving it a 6.1/10 firmness score. This places the mattress in the medium-firm category. Simba says the mattress has a medium-plush feel, meaning Simba 2500 is somewhat firmer than advertised.
(Like a firmer bed? Logan & Cove Frontier has a slightly higher 6.3/10 firmness score.)

6.0 /10
Edge Support
Hybrids generally have good edge support. Simba 2500’s deflection from a seated position was 6.1″, resulting in a 6.0/10 edge support score.
This is an above-average score, but is somewhat low for a hybrid, and lower than the entry-level Simba 1500. You’ll notice a little sinkage when you sit on the edge of this mattress or sleep farther away from the middle, but not a lot.
(If you sit on the edge of your bed a lot, consider Logan & Cove Frontier, which has a higher edge support score of 7.3/10.)
7.7 /10
Motion Isolation
Simba 2500 scored 7.7/10 for motion isolation, which is a very good score for a hybrid mattress. Smaller and farther movements shouldn’t be an issue, but you may still feel your partner’s larger nighttime movements, or movements that are very close to you. The smaller the motion—and the farther away it is—the less you should notice.
3.9 /10
Bounce
Simba 2500 scored 3.9/10 for bounce. This is slightly below average for a hybrid, but you shouldn’t notice much difficulty changing positions or getting out of bed in the morning.
(Need a little extra help jumping out of bed in the morning? Logan & Cove Frontier has a higher bounce rating of 4.8/10.)

Cooling Features
Although Simba 2500 isn’t necessarily advertised as a cooling mattress, Simba heavily promotes its advanced engineering and Simbatex® foam. Thanks to their coils, hybrids can sometimes be more breathable than all-foam mattresses. This hybrid mattress gains points for:
- Its hand-knit cover, which is breathable to promote air circulation
- Its open-cell foam, which gives it better airflow than closed-cell foam
- Its graphite-infused foam layer, which conducts heat away from your body
- Its pocketed micro-coils, which allow for more air to move through the mattress
- Its perforated foam, which increases airflow in the support layer
Although Simba 2500 has a breathable mattress cover, it doesn’t contain any active cooling technologies. We suggest you check out Logan & Cove Frontier instead, which has a cooling cover made with CryoFusion, cooling nanofibres, a breathable hollow fiberfill, and gel-infused foam to keep you cool while you sleep. Frontier earned a higher cooling features score than Simba 2500 for a lower price of just $1,299 for a queen size.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Simba mattresses good?
Simba 2500 has above-average edge support and very good motion isolation, as well as a medium-firm feel that should suit all types of sleepers. However, in certain performance tests conducted by third-party engineers (commissioned by us), it performed worse than Simba’s entry-level model, Simba 1500.
You may be interested in a mattress like Logan & Cove Frontier instead. At $1,299 for a queen size, Frontier earned a higher cooling features score than Simba. You’ll get Logan & Cove’s 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty, as well as free bedding bundle with your purchase.
How much is a Simba mattress?
Simba 2500 is priced between $1,599 and $2,499 and is available in twin to king sizes.
Where are Simba mattresses made?
Simba manufactures mattresses for its Canadian market in Canada.
Does the Simba mattress come in a box?
Yes, Simba mattresses come in a box. Simba rolls and compresses its mattresses like other bed-in-a-box brands for easier shipping.
How long does it take for a Simba mattress to expand?
According to the company’s FAQ, the mattress may take up to 72 hours to fully expand once unpacked and unrolled.
Do you have to rotate a Simba mattress?
Yes, Simba recommends rotating your mattress once a month for the first 3 months, and once every 3–6 months after that. Simba 2500 has fabric handles on the side to make this easier. However, it is not clear whether the fabric handles (or any damage caused to the handles when used to pull the mattress) are covered under Simba’s warranty.
How long does a Simba mattress last?
According to experts, a good mattress should last 7–10 years. However, this can vary depending on the materials used in the mattress’s construction and how frequently it is used. There’s no strict rule, but if you notice visible sagging, lumps, or a decline in comfort and support, it may be time to replace it. Regular maintenance and proper care can help extend a mattress’s lifespan.

Is the Simba mattress worth it?
Simba 2500 has a few good features, but compared to other hybrid mattresses, Simba’s sleep trial and warranty are just average. We recommend looking at hybrid mattress brand Logan & Cove Frontier for more cooling, better edge support, and a longer sleep trial and warranty.
What Simba mattress alternatives should I consider?
We suggest checking out Logan & Cove Frontier. At just $1,299 for a queen size, Frontier is more affordable than Simba. Frontier features zoned support, pressure-point relief, and advanced cooling features like CryoFusion™ cooling nanofibres, a breathable hollow fibre fill, and gel-infused foam in the top cover. Logan & Cove also comes with a longer 365-night sleep trial and 15-year warranty, free returns with a full refund, and a free bedding bundle with your purchase.
