Product Details
Spa Sensations by Zinus is an innerspring mattress that is 8″ tall. In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), it earned a firmness score consistent with a firm feel. This level of firmness is better suited to back and stomach sleepers, but it may not be ideal for side sleepers. Spa Sensations has excellent edge support and very good motion isolation, as well as the highest bounce score of any mattress we’ve tested to date.
The mattress has 3 layers of foam and interconnected coils. It’s designed with two cooling features: the naturally breathable innerspring layer, and a layer of open-cell latex foam. The mattress cover is made of 100% polyester, and it isn’t removable or machine washable. You’ll need to spot-clean it in case of any spills or stains.

Delivery, Sleep Trial & Returns
Zinus doesn’t ship directly from its website to Canadian customers. If you’re buying a Spa Sensations mattress, you’ll have to do it through one of Zinus’s authorized third-party retailers. As of publication, Spa Sensations by Zinus is only available via Walmart. Shipping takes 1–3 business days and is free to most locations in Canada for orders over $35. The mattress arrives rolled up in a box.

Zinus also doesn’t offer a direct sleep trial for its mattresses to its Canadian customers, so your sleep trial will vary depending on the retailer you buy from. Walmart also doesn’t accept mattress returns for Marketplace items on behalf of Zinus. Returns are facilitated through Walmart’s website, but it’s up to you to deal with the manufacturer. Zinus’s refund policy for Marketplace items is unknown.
The brand offers a 10-year limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects only. In comparison, competing budget mattress brand Juno provides a 15-year warranty, as well as a 120-night sleep trial and the option to return the mattress for a full refund.

Spa Sensations by Zinus Mattress Construction
Spa Sensations by Zinus stands 8″ tall and has 3 visible interior layers of foam and coils. All foam used is CertiPUR-US® certified.
- Layer 1: The top layer is 3/4″ of conforming viscoelastic latex foam. This layer adds plushness to the mattress’s top surface and conforms to your body while you’re lying down.
- Layer 2: The second layer is 1″ of high-density foam. This insulates your body from feeling the coil layer below.
- Layer 3: The bottom layer is 6″ of metal coils. This layer gives the mattress most of its bulk, and prevents you from sinking too deeply into the mattress while lying down.
The mattress cover is sewn with a jacquard pattern, contains foam filling, and accounts for the remaining 0.5″ of the mattress’s height. It’s made from 100% polyester, and it isn’t removable or machine washable. Any spills or stains should be spot-cleaned only.

MattressReviews.ca commissions licensed third-party engineers and uses public data to rate mattresses on over 40 criteria.
This allows us to accurately rate and compare the performance of the mattresses reviewed on this website. Engineer independence and operating standards help ensure their results remain unbiased, valid, and reliable.
Each mattress was evaluated using the same strict mattress testing methodology to protect the overall integrity of the results. Foam and hybrid mattress test results are scored on separate scales to ensure fair contextual performance representation as much as possible. The full report has been given the official stamp of approval from an APEGA-certified engineer operating under a strict ethical code of conduct.
Mattress testing conducted outside of this professional standard poses a greater risk of validity errors or reviewer bias.

7.0 /10
Firmness
In third-party engineer testing (commissioned by us), Spa Sensations by Zinus had a 2.5″ deflection when laid on, resulting in a 7.0/10 firmness score. This places it in the firm category. Firm mattresses can be comfortable for back and stomach sleepers, but this level of firmness may cause pressure points for side sleepers.
(Need a mattress that suits all sleep styles? Juno has a firmness score of 6.0/10, which is a medium-firm feel. This level of firmness is suitable for side, back, and stomach sleepers.)

8.0 /10
Edge Support
A mattress with good edge support lets you sit on the edge of the bed or lie farther away from the middle without sliding off. Spa Sensations by Zinus had a 4.1″ deflection from a seated position, contributing to its 8.0/10 edge support score. This is an excellent score for an innerspring mattress.
7.1 /10
Motion Isolation
Mattresses with high motion isolation help soften movements from the other side of the bed. Hybrid and innerspring mattresses tend to provide less motion isolation than foam mattresses. Spa Sensations by Zinus scored 7.1/10 for motion isolation. This is a very good score for an innerspring mattress.
In the video above, notice how the far edges of the mattress don’t move much when the medicine ball drops, even though the water is splashing out of the glass. This shows how you’ll feel your partner sitting down heavily on the mattress. But smaller movements—or movements that are far away—should be less noticeable.
10 /10
Bounce
Bounce is a matter of personal preference. Higher bounce allows you to easily change sleep positions, while lower bounce gives you a more consistent surface. Spa Sensations by Zinus scored 10/10 for bounce—the highest score of any mattress we’ve ever tested.
(Looking for a mattress with less bounce? Juno provides a consistent surface with its bounce score of 2.5/10.)

2.0 /10
Cooling Features
Spa Sensations by Zinus is marketed as a budget mattress rather than a cooling mattress. However, it does have some cooling features to provide temperature control. This mattress gains points for its:
- Innerspring construction, which permits some airflow through the coils
- Top layer of conforming viscoelastic latex foam to allow for some breathability
Need an affordable mattress with a higher cooling features score? Juno has a layer of cooling gel foam to reduce heat buildup and improve airflow. You can also upgrade to the optional Cool+ cover made with cooling yarn.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Spa Sensations a good mattress?
Spa Sensations by Zinus has an accessible price and a lot of bounce. However, it doesn’t come with a sleep trial. The brand’s parent company Zinus is also rated “D-” (unaccredited) on BBB and “Poor” on Trustpilot.
We suggest Juno instead. Juno has a layer of cooling gel foam and an optional cooling cover. It comes with a 120-night sleep trial, a 15-year warranty, and a free bedding bundle. Juno’s parent company GoodMorning.com is also rated “A+” on BBB and “Excellent” on Trustpilot.
What is the Spa Sensations mattress warranty?
Zinus offers a 10-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. It covers defects in materials and workmanship only.
How do you return a Spa Sensations mattress?
The Spa Sensations mattress we purchased for this review is no longer available for purchase from the company’s website. If you buy the mattress through one of Zinus’s authorized third-party retailers (like Walmart), the retailer’s return policy will apply.
How do you clean a Spa Sensations mattress?
Any spills or stains on your Spa Sensations mattress should be spot-cleaned only. The cover isn’t removable or machine-washable.
Can you flip a Spa Sensations mattress?
No, you shouldn’t flip a Spa Sensations mattress. Like most modern mattresses, it’s designed to be used one way. Flipping the mattress will place the comfort layer on the bottom, meaning you’ll be lying directly on top of the metal coils.
Can you roll a Spa Sensations mattress back up?
Zinus doesn’t say whether you can roll any of its mattresses back up after unboxing them. However, this can be difficult to do with any mattress that contains inner coils. Although the Spa Sensations mattress ships rolled and compressed in a box, we recommend not trying to roll the mattress back up once it has expanded.
What Spa Sensations mattress alternatives should I consider?
You should check out Juno. At $499 for a queen size, it comes with a longer 120-night sleep trial and a 15-year warranty. You also get a free bedding bundle that includes a sheet set, pillow(s), and a mattress protector with your purchase.
